A Chorus Line

Why is it that we tend to get nervous and dry mouthed when in front of people? Especially people we know when asking for something? Like a job, an audition, a first date or asking for the date, or money from say our parents or parent in my case. Our nerves seem to make us fidget a lot. We may know a song downpat, and can sing it with ease, but when faced with trying to show someone that we dry up and go off key. It happens to us all, figuratively, and sometimes literally, we go "off key" when we had it right a few minutes before. Hmph. Something to ponder. Anyways what a time to be a student at UPEI these days. January = David Weale incident; February = The Cadre incident; March = A Faculty Strike. You gotta be Fuckin Kidding Me! Oh well I digress on the matter, needless to say I wont be crossing any picket lines any time soon. "Heartbreak House" had it's run last week, and it went rather well. An interesting show to say the least. I'm glad to see it end, but sad that I'll no longer be performing. Theatre in any shape or form is like a drug. I once was a heavy user, doing show after show after show. I made the decision to quit cold turkey. Having done some again I have found that it is no longer what it once was to me. I have clearly kicked the addiction, but like to delve once in a while. Now if I could only do the same thing to my smokes. Another battle another time. I was in Moncton this week visiting my best bud Joey, what a lark. Always a good drunk, and time. I need to go over more often and on weekends as to take full advantage of the night life, if you know what I mean ;). I think I may drink tonite. A good drunk has so many benefits. You know that nervousness? Liquid courage can solve all your problems and give you the confidence to sing in key. Next audition, I'm drinkin!

Remember, I may know everything, but I can't give you all the answers.
